ABOUT THE BOOK
One thing that distinguished the legendary Creek Chub Bait Company of Garrett, Indiana from its many competitors was their Bait Tester program. Creek Chub utilized a network of exceptional anglers to help test and develop new baits and colors. Here, for the first time, we get the inside story of how CCBC’s Bait Testing program worked in the 1970s. Through the eyes of famous musky angler Jim Brabant, who tested a number of baits and colors and was featured in CCBC’s national advertising. Includes correspondence between CCBC executive Harry Heinzerling and Brabant, as well as photos of the 23 CCBC musky lures (many in unique special colors designed by Brabant and never before seen) discovered by Brian Oborski in 2014.
